Android Developer

This is a remote position supporting and improving three existing native Android apps on an ad-hoc basis.

We are a small app developer specialising in iOS but with a trio of existing Android apps on Google Play. We are looking to find an Android developer interested in ad-hoc work fixing bugs and making feature and code improvements as required. We're a small and friendly team who aim to deliver excellence in our apps. We can offer competitive hourly pay and prompt payment of invoices.

Experience building and maintaining native Android apps, and of publishing those apps to the Play Store, is a must. Our apps are written in a mixture of Java and Kotlin, with a few production scripts written in Python.

Our big thing is Natural History. Its not a requirement, but if that also happens to be your thing then we'd be very happy!

Need to have:

• Experience building and maintaining native Android apps

• Java and Kotlin

• Experience of publishing apps on the PlayStore

Nice to have:

• JavaScript & Python (used in our production scripts – if not then ability to run scripts and debug)

• We’re an iOS house, so experience of working with an iOS team, and porting apps from iOS would be an advantage.
