We caught a Leopard. In Acton. A Leopard Moth, I mean... Still, an impressive beast!
There were two amazing things about this moth: first, it's long almost worm-like abdomen, mostly hidden by the wings at rest:
And secondly the spots, which were – viewed up close – a very attractive metallic blue, neatly set off by their fluffy white surround.
